Hi I'm Maxine Ellison

Maxine Ellison - Sales & Marketing

I have been involved with horses all my life, coming from a family with racehorses and standardbreds, although I took a different line into competitive riding, and I truly know the joy and pain of owning horses (too many sometimes!). I have been with Horses and People since late 2006 and bought the magazine in January 2009. My working life prior to Horses and People was in the corporate world, having worked for 25 years in sales, marketing, and small business development. I am in charge of sales and marketing and also manage the day to day administration and accounts.

Hi I'm Cristina Wilkins

Cristina Wilkins - Editor & Designer

I have been with Horses and People since 2005 and I am the editor and designer for the magazine, in June 2010 I became a business partner in the business. I am originally Spanish, and moved to Australia just over 10 years ago. I have been involved in horses all my life and spent my Young Rider years competing extensively in Europe (eventing mainly) and also coaching many junior and young riders. Nowadays I enjoy my family and two beautiful Spanish stallions and try to fit in as much riding as possible between work and family life.

Hi I'm Karen Lyon

          Karen Lyon - Sales

I have been a registered Veterinary Nurse for 20 years, specializing in reproduction and neo-natal care of foals. I am also a Registered Equine Bowen Therapist. I fell off my first horse at the age of 18 months and have been hooked ever since, starting hacking on a $200 horse rescued from the "doggers" and going on to own, breed and sell warmbloods at my Lyon Lodge Stud. My hobbies are Eventing, Hacking and breeding warmbloods and my special interest is in the rehabilitation of horses with natural and conventional medicines and treatments, as well as advising horse owners about nutrition and general horse ownership. It is great to have the opportunity to work for Horses and People Magazine, as I love to help people get as much free advice as possible!
